Job description

Direct Counsel represents an Am Law 100 firm seeking an experienced Real Estate Paralegal. This role supports a dynamic real estate practice and offers hands-on involvement in acquisitions, dispositions, financings, and complex transactional work.
Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct and coordinate due diligence, including title, survey, zoning, and related reviews.

  • Assist in drafting and reviewing conveyance, closing, and real estate transaction documents.

  • Manage all aspects of real estate closings, including checklists, signature packages, recordings, and closing books.

  • Draft and file UCC financing statements; order and analyze UCC, lien, and litigation searches.

  • Prepare entity formation documents and draft leases, purchase contracts, easements, deeds, and related documents.

  • Perform factual research, prepare reports, and manage filings for special assignments.

  • Communicate directly with clients, vendors, and internal teams to ensure smooth transaction flow.

  • Prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple matters with high attention to detail.

  • Maintain proficiency in Microsoft Office, iManage, InTapp, Kofax, Orbital, and related platforms.

  • Accurately record time and meet an annual 1,600-hour billable requirement.

Requirements
  • Paralegal certificate or related degree preferred.

  • 5 years of real estate paralegal experience required.

  • Strong organizational skills, client service mindset, and ability to manage complex projects.

  • Reliable attendance and availability during scheduled work hours.
