Real Estate Title Abstractors are professionals who research public records to determine the legal ownership and history of a property. They examine deeds, mortgages, liens, and other documents to ensure that a title is clear and free of any legal issues before a sale or transfer. Their work is crucial in real estate transactions, as it helps prevent future disputes over property ownership.
