Job description

At Home Real Estate Services is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our property management team. This is a full-time position in a fast-paced, professional work environment with a stable company where our maintenance technicians average more than seven years of employment.

We're looking for a dependable, self-motivated technician who can work independently, communicate professionally with residents, and perform quality repairs across a wide variety of residential maintenance projects.


What We're Looking For


We are seeking someone with experience in general residential maintenance, including:

  • Drywall repairs and patching (not hanging or finishing entire rooms)
  • Window replacement and repairs
  • Deck repairs
  • Fence building and repairs
  • Painting (walls, trim, ceilings, cabinets, etc.)
  • Minor carpentry, including cabinet and trim repairs
  • Minor plumbing (faucets, shower cartridges, leak repairs, toilet repairs, etc.)
  • Minor electrical (outlets, switches, ceiling fans, doorbells, light fixtures, etc.)
  • Laminate and luxury vinyl plank flooring repairs or installation
  • General maintenance and repair work in occupied homes and vacant properties

Additional Qualifications

  • Strong work ethic and positive attitude
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to prioritize multiple jobs throughout the day
  • Organized and dependable
  • Comfortable using a smartphone to receive work orders, upload photos, and document completed work
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and background
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and safely use ladders and common maintenance tools
  • Non-smoker/non-tobacco user preferred. Our technicians spend the day in residents' homes and drive company vehicles, so maintaining a clean, smoke-free environment is important to us.

Job Responsibilities

  • Complete maintenance requests submitted by residents
  • Perform repairs in occupied homes and apartment units
  • Complete make-ready work after residents move out
  • Coordinate scheduling with residents as needed
  • Document work performed, including notes and before-and-after photos
  • Work closely with our in-office maintenance team to keep jobs moving efficiently

Schedule

  • Monday through Friday
  • 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
  • One-hour lunch
  • Some flexibility to start earlier or later as needed
  • Overtime available based on maintenance call volume
  • No after-hours or on-call rotation
