Ranging from new construction, residential & commercial, and full remodels/renovations throughout Chicago, Illinois and the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago in established neighborhoods.

Description of the Position:
WHD is looking for a young, energetic, motivated, hard-working, and organized problem-solver for a paid internship with an offer for full-time employment available based on performance. This could be your opportunity to get involved with a fast growing company, get a vast amount of exposure to numerous types of real estate, and have to ability to execute on new innovative ideas. Candidate will be able to see tangible results from their efforts and play a leadership role in Chicago development. The candidate will have opportunities to procure new business and be involved in ownership stake of future investments based on performance.

Responsibilities:

  • Involved in development of various types of real estate construction – residential/commercial
  • Learn and help with architectural design decisions of various projects
  • Help with project design, planning, and management including on-site visit experience
  • Help with sourcing project finishes and researching building science
  • Perform cost vs benefit analysis on various construction design
  • Help with new acquisitions, identify new opportunities and learn unique methods to buying real estate
  • Learn and help with financial analysis of new real estate opportunities
  • Help with creating new leases, contracts, and other documents
  • Help Develop strategies and methods to streamline work
  • Various other tasks necessary in the development business

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in property management, real estate or other related fields is a plus
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Google Suite, AI Suites (Claude, Claude-Cowork, ChatGPT, Gemini)
  • Self-starter, quick learner, and the ability to work responsibly with little supervision and wear many hats
