Commercial Real Estate Finance Associate Attorney

Direct Counsel is seeking a Commercial Real Estate Finance Associate Attorney to join a prestigious Am Law firmin Boston, MA; Charlotte, NC; New York, NY; or Philadelphia, PA.

This is an exceptional opportunity for an attorney with 3-6 years of commercial real estate finance experience to join a nationally recognized Global Finance practice. The team advises lenders, borrowers, investors, and financial institutions on sophisticated commercial real estate finance transactions, including loan originations, acquisitions, dispositions, securitizations, workouts, restructurings, and bankruptcy-related matters.

Responsibilities
  • Represent clients in commercial real estate finance transactions, including loan originations, acquisitions, and dispositions.

  • Advise on commercial mortgage loans, mezzanine loans, and related financing structures.

  • Conduct legal due diligence and manage key aspects of transactions from inception through closing.

  • Draft, review, and negotiate loan documents and related transaction agreements.

  • Support commercial mortgage securitizations and other real estate capital markets transactions.

  • Advise clients on servicing matters, loan workouts, restructurings, and bankruptcy-related issues.

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary legal teams on complex real estate finance transactions.

Qualifications
  • J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.

  • Active membership in a U.S. state bar.

  • 3-6 years of commercial real estate finance experience.

  • Hands-on experience with commercial real estate loans and mezzanine loans.

  • Experience managing significant components of transactions from due diligence through closing.

  • Large law firm experience is strongly preferred.

  • Excellent drafting, analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
