Job description

Key Responsibilities
* Draft, negotiate, review and finalize tenant's transactional retail real estate documents, including letters of intent, amendments, leases, purchase agreements and related documents, and other general corporate documents
* Assist with the development, maintenance, and control of protocols, strategies and contract templates for real estate leasing, development and construction
* Assist in facilitating input from various constituents regarding variances from established standards.
* Assist in processing and tracking agreements.
* Assist with contract issue resolution.
* Conduct a broad range of real estate related project due diligence, including reviewing title reports and obtaining title insurance policies and endorsements.
* Provide support to the project development team to secure necessary governmental and other stakeholder approvals for new projects.
* Maintain knowledge and expertise in cutting edge real estate leasing, development, construction and procurement law concepts and practices.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
* Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited U.S. law school.
* A minimum of 5 years of strong commercial retail real estate experience is required
* Retail Real Estate Developer experience a plus.
* Substantial experience in drafting and negotiating commercial retail leases
* Experience in closing purchases, sales and financing transactions relative to commercial properties.
* Solid business acumen and judgement.
* Superior verbal, writing and presentation skills with exceptional attention to detail.
* Proficient skill level with Microsoft Office applications.
* Litigation experience a plus.
* Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
* Impeccable integrity and a robust personal work ethic, including a strong drive to work independently, multi-task, manage time effectively, and prioritize under pressure and deadlines.
