Job description

We are an estate planning firm. "Estate Planning" deals with much more than just wills or trusts, although that is the main area of practice. EP also means we deal with a lot of business interests, real property, Elder issues, Medicaid questions and designs, and much more. EP absolutely includes wills, trusts, power of attorneys, probates, settlement of trusts, and all related issues with traditional estate planning.


What is not traditional is Planning With Purpose's approach to EP. We are a relationally based firm that develops strategic plans for clients. Our relational approach develops a deep and lasting client base. We have a very strong process from start to finish that ensures the best estate planning in the area, backed up by a continued relationship. I take great responsibility for mentorship and relationships with associates as well. You can expect to learn more than what you believed estate planning is about, with an opportunity to grow with the firm.


Job reviews at 6 and 12 months with pay raise opportunities for excellent work performance.

Compensation:

$75,000 - $85,000 yearly


Responsibilities:
  • Conduct legal research on estate planning laws and regulations to provide accurate and up-to-date advice to clients.
  • Meet with clients to discuss their estate planning needs, assess their goals, and develop customized estate plans.
  • Review and analyze existing estate planning documents to identify any necessary updates or modifications.
  • Represent clients in probate proceedings, trust administration, and other estate planning matters as needed.
  • Is teachable and has a strong desire to learn new things. We have a strong client process that is robust and very different than your average law office, so there will be a steep learning curve.
  • Strong relationship-building skills. Need to be very comfortable building relationships with professionals and clients.
  • Need someone who loves to build relationships and desires to bring in new business while being personally mentored.

Qualifications:
  • Legal Estate Planning Experience NOT required.
  • Law Degree.
  • Close to the Office — in-person, not remote.
  • Passion to grow a company and yourself.
  • The desire to contribute to a team-oriented office environment.
  • Must be relational, both professionally with clients and internally.
  • Desire to be personally mentored.
