Job description

Job Title: Accounting Clerk

Job Type: Full/Part-time
Salary: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly organized and motivated Accounting Clerk to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with the management team to maintain our commercial real estate assets across the Gulf Coast region, ensuring they remain in excellent working order.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor Company Email for inbound communication/invoices

  • Maintain AP management software - input invoices, route to responsible parties for approval, code to correct GL accounts, flag incorrect/incomplete information

  • Maintain recurring monthly auto drafts - loans, utilities, insurance, etc

  • Post Payments/update accounts

  • Monitor/maintain data throughout the accounting cycle

  • Credit Card reconciliation - ensure proper billing/reimbursement are accounted for

  • Manage AR for company/properties - send out updated statements/communication for the status of payments

  • Additional tasks as needed may include emailing monthly rental invoices to tenants, receiving/depositing tenant rental payments, and billing previously identified passed-through costs

  • Additional duties may be assigned as needed

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 2+ years of accounting related experience (preferred)

  • Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.

  • Skills: Strong organizational and communication skills, problem-solving ability, attention to detail, and proficiency with Microsoft Office or Google Suite.

  • Interpersonal: Friendly, professional demeanor with excellent interpersonal skills and emotional maturity.

  • Other: U.S. work authorization required.
