Certified Real Estate Paralegal

Location: Port St. Lucie, FL Tradition Area
Position Type: Full-Time
Salary: $65,000–$70,000

A well-established firm is seeking an experienced Certified Real Estate Paralegal to support a major new residential development, in Port St. Lucie.

This is a unique opportunity to become an integral part of a high-volume real estate closing operation. The selected candidate will complete a paid training program at the firm's Boca Raton office (all travel expenses covered) before transitioning to the onsite Port St. Lucie location. Once the development is fully underway, the office is expected to facilitate up to 10 residential closings per day.

Responsibilities

  • Manage residential real estate closings from contract through post-closing
  • Order, review, and clear title requirements
  • Prepare and issue title commitments
  • Draft closing documents and settlement packages
  • Prepare closing statements and settlement disclosures
  • Coordinate with lenders to obtain loan documents and funding
  • Communicate regularly with buyers, lenders, real estate agents, and other parties throughout the transaction
  • Conduct in-person closings with purchasers, explaining documents and answering general closing-related questions
  • Coordinate funding and disbursement of closing proceeds
  • Issue final title insurance policies
  • Prepare and distribute completed closing packages
  • Maintain accurate files while ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements
  • Become proficient in DoubleTime and SoftPro closing software

Qualifications

  • Certified Real Estate Paralegal preferred
  • Minimum 3+ years of residential real estate closing experience
  • Ability to independently manage the entire closing process from start to finish
  • Experience ordering, reviewing, and clearing title
  • Working knowledge of title insurance and closing procedures
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with SoftPro and/or DoubleTime is highly preferred or the ability to learn quickly
  • Florida Notary Public required
