what you'll do as an elementary ELA Instructional coach 

In this role, you will support Nebraska teachers in strengthening literacy instruction through modeling, feedback, collaboration, and strategic professional learning.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the implementation of Elementary ELA standards and curriculum

  • Facilitating high-quality professional development sessions

  • Conducting classroom observations and providing actionable, constructive feedback

  • Modeling lessons or co-teaching to demonstrate best practices

  • Coaching teachers at various experience levels in foundational literacy, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, comprehension, and writing

  • Analyzing student data to identify instructional needs and support interventions

  • Collaborating with school teams to improve instructional planning and outcomes

  • Building relationships that promote trust, growth, and sustained improvement

You will serve as a key partner in enhancing literacy outcomes and helping schools achieve excellence.
