Dental Assistant Job Duties
*Seating patients, asking patients medical history, and taking blood pressure to get them
ready for the doctor
* Organizing and preparing exam rooms, lab, and work areas, including cleaning, stocking
supplies
* Clean and sterilize instruments utilizing autoclave, assemble instruments, supplies, and
equipment for specific procedures
* Take impressions of patient’s teeth, pouring and trimming stone models
* Performing laboratory duties such as blocking models, pressing, cutting, and trimming
oral appliances
* Delivering, building, and adjusting patient’s oral appliances
* Provide patients information on how to use and care for their oral appliances
* Taking Cone Beam CT scans, constructing and sending images to doctors for reading
and reporting
* Obtain consent forms for injections. Help prepare injections per doctor’s request
* Assist in setting up and breaking down the lab and cleaning all clinical rooms
