Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Node.js Backend Developer to design, develop, and support scalable, secure, and high-performing backend applications for enterprise banking platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong experience building APIs, microservices, and cloud-native solutions in an Agile

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain backend applications using Node.js and TypeScript.
Design and implement RESTful APIs and microservices.
Collaborate with Architects, Product Owners, QA, and DevOps teams.
Ensure application security, performance, scalability, and reliability.
Participate in code reviews, testing, CI/CD, and production support.
Required Skills
5+ years of software development experience.
Strong expertise in Node.js, TypeScript, Express.js/NestJS.
Demonstrated ability to leverage effective prompts to drive efficiency and productivity using AI platforms and tools such as Microsoft Copilot, Claude & others
Experience with REST APIs and microservices architecture.
Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
Strong understanding of secure coding and software engineering best practices.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in Banking or Financial Services.
Exposure to Kafka, event-driven architectures, and cloud-native development.
Experience with Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies.
Nice to Have: React/Angular exposure, Open Banking, Payments, and DevOps automation experience." 

The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is: 70000 to 90000

Capgemini provides compensation range information in accordance with applicable national, state, provincial, and local pay transparency laws.
