About the Team
At Core Interface, we believe great software is built by small teams of thoughtful engineers working on meaningful problems. Our work supports mission-critical federal programs where the interfaces our users rely on have to be fast, intuitive, and trustworthy under real operational pressure.
We're growing our frontend engineering team and are looking for a UI Angular/React Engineer who can move fluently between design intent and production code - and who thrives working closely with backend engineers and mission users.
What You'll Do in This Role
  • Build responsive, accessible applications using React or Angular
  • Translate mission and user requirements into intuitive UI solutions
  • Integrate frontend systems with APIs and real-time data
  • Develop reusable component libraries and shared UI patterns
  • Participate in code reviews and design discussions
  • Improve performance, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility
  • Collaborate closely with backend engineers, analysts, and mission users

Required Qualifications
  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical background)
  • Strong fluency in React or Angular, with proficiency in TypeScript
  • Experience with, or knowledge of, the Spring Framework
  • Experience with, or knowledge of, SQL and ORM libraries such as Hibernate/JPA)
  • Solid grounding in JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3, including responsive/mobile-first design
  • Comfort working with REST-based services
  • Experience writing unit and integration tests (Jest, React Testing Library, or equivalent) and familiarity with modern build tooling (Vite, Webpack, npm/yarn)
  • Familiarity navigating Git-based team workflows
  • Clear communication skills in collaborative engineering environments

Additional Strengths That Stand Out
  • End-to-end testing experience with Cypress or Playwright
  • Contributions to data visualization interfaces or dashboards (D3.js, Recharts, or similar) and familiarity with the ELK stack
  • Familiarity with GraphQL and/or WebSocket-based real-time data
  • Exposure to cloud deployment pipelines and CI/CD practices (AWS, Azure, or similar)
  • Experience with containerized development environments (Docker)
  • Working knowledge of Section 508 or WCAG 2.1 accessibility expectations
  • Time supporting cleared mission or federal program environments

Core Interface Benefits
