Operator - Wireline IV
Reports To: Manager
Direct Reports: No
Job Family: Operations
FLSA Code: Non-Exempt
SUMMARY
The Wireline Operator IV is responsible for the safety and quality of operations by applying and adhering to process and safety procedures for the wireline equipment, tools, and personnel.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Planning and preparation for well site operations ensuring compliance with all safety regulations
  • Supervise and conduct well site operations in accordance with client criteria and policies
  • Supervise and assist crew with calibration and preparation of surface equipment and down hole tools
  • Maintain knowledge and understanding of current standards and operating procedures and practices to optimize efficiencies
  • Responsible to maintain customer relationships through quality services, confident execution and establishing positive image
  • Responsible for direct communication with client representatives for wellsite operations including preparation, execution, and data archiving
  • Complete and submit accurate documents for well site operations for billing and data delivery per customer requirements
  • Operate company vehicles in accordance with Company policies and government regulations
  • Responsible to supervise logistics of equipment to ensure safe compliant driving habits and applicable regulations inclusive of accurate DOT logs
  • Actively participate and support continuous improvement of HSE and Quality initiatives
  • Responsible for assigned crew training competency and periodic performance reviews
  • Other duties as assigned

REQUIRED EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
  • High school or GED, Preferred Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Geoscience from an accredited college or University
  • Must be 21 years of age to obtain ATF (Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms) certification and pass background check and obtain state explosive license
  • Ability to possess and maintain valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class B with Hazardous Material Endorsement
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience supervising wireline well site operations
  • Ability to read, write and speak and understand English
  • Intimate knowledge of wireline technologies including pressure control, perforating components, data acquisition systems and troubleshooting techniques
  • Knowledgeable in incident investigation and reporting
  • Highly motivated able to work independently
  • Strong oral and written communication skills

WORK CONDITIONS:
  • Work is primarily outdoors with changing weather conditions expected, including heat, cold temperatures, rain, snow, and wind
  • Exposure to dirt, dust and oilfield chemicals should be expected
  • Must have the ability to stand for long periods of time as well as bend, reach, squat and safely lift and carry up to 50 pounds

  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)

  • Must complete and pass all required pre-employment screenings
