Job description


First Hawaiian Bank is currently seeking a Quality Control Specialist to join our Residential Real Estate Division Compliance team.
This position is directly responsible for auditing mortgage loan files to measure the performance against legal, regulatory compliance, credit underwriting, investor and internal bank policies. Responsibilities also include performing file reviews for both pre-funding and post-closing loans to ensure compliance with the defined policies and procedures, and to maintain a strong professional relationship with personnel in the loan originations and loan servicing departments.
The successful candidate will be hired for the level of the position that aligns with their experience.
Work Schedule
Monday - Friday 8:00AM - 5:00PM (Work hours may vary)
Compensation
The annual salary range for this role is $50k - $62k/year; commensurate with experience.

    • With bachelor's degree: 1 year of experience in underwriting mortgage loans, loan processing, and/or performing quality control underwriting.
    • Without bachelor's degree (or equivalent): 3 years of experience in underwriting mortgage loans, loan processing, and/or performing quality control underwriting.
  • 2-3 years of experience in real estate lending, mortgage compliance, or mortgage banking
  • One (1) year of experience in underwriting mortgage loans, loan processing, and/or performing quality control underwriting.
