Activities Aide ( CNA ) Job Summary:
The primary responsibility of the Activities Aide ( CNA ) is to assist the Activity Director in planning, organizing, and conducting activities and programs for the residents that will contribute to their fuller and richer quality of life and to help maintain or increase resident's ability to meet their living requirements in accordance with the facility mission philosophy and as directed by the Activity Director. As the Activity Assistant, you are delegated the administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability necessary to carry out your assigned duties.
Activities Aide ( CNA ) Major Duties and Critical Tasks:
  • Assist in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, and evaluating the activity programs of this facility
  • Assist in developing and implementing guidelines for the identification of the medically related activity needs of the resident
  • Participate in community planning interests that will enhance the mission of the facility and the services and needs of the resident and family
  • Participate in discharge planning, development and implementation of activity care plans and resident assessments
  • Perform administrative requirements, such as completing necessary forms and reports and submitting them to the Activity Director as required
  • Provide consultation to members of the staff, community agencies and others in the process of solving the needs and problems of the resident through the development of activity programs
Activities Aide ( CNA ) Education and Experience:
  • Certified Nursing Assistant ( CNA ) Certification by the State Required
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Skilled nursing experience preferred
  • Excellent Interpersonal Skills
