Why This Respiratory Therapist Role Is Different
This role offers a steady, predictable schedule with minimal on-call responsibility while still providing variety through occasional patient visits and telehealth support. You will be part of a small, hands-on team that values collaboration and personalized patient care.
This role offers a consistent daytime schedule with flexible hours, allowing for a strong work-life balance. On-call responsibilities are minimal, occurring only once per month, and you'll be part of a supportive, teamwork-driven branch culture that values collaboration and patient care. Mileage, parking, and tolls are fully reimbursed, and the position provides an ideal balance of in-office stability with light fieldwork to keep each day engaging.
Key Highlights

  • Work Arrangement: On-site; 80% office / 20% field
  • Hours: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM; flexible
  • Travel Radius: Up to 2 hours from branch
Salary range
  • $32 - $36 per hour. Compensation offered may vary based on job-related factors such as experience, skills, education and location.
On-Call transparency
  • Rotation once per month.
What you'll do
  • Conduct home visits to perform oxygen, CPAP/BiPAP, and ventilation equipment setups and follow-ups
  • Educate patients and caregivers on equipment use, cleaning, troubleshooting, and maintenance
  • Assess patient needs, document care delivered, and escalate concerns appropriately
  • Respond to hospital discharge requests and support patient needs
  • Collaborating with physicians, case managers, and internal branch teams
  • Maintain accurate documentation using iPad/laptop
  • Set up and operate various types of respiratory care equipment, including, but not limited to, oxygen therapy, nebulization therapy, apnea monitoring, suctioning, PAP, invasive and non-invasive ventilation
  • Inspects and tests equipment to ensure proper operating condition
  • Perform clinical assessments and tests such as pulse oximetry, ETCO2, spirometry and gathering vital signs
  • Performs other duties as required
What we look for
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist with an active MI RT license.
  • Open to all experience levels, including new graduates.
  • Ability to stand, lift, push and/or pull objects ranging from 10 - 50 lbs.
  • Valid driver's license
  • Comfortable using mobile technology, navigation tools, and digital documentation
Education
  • Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program
Certificates, licenses, registrations or professional designations
  • Hold a current RCP license in the state of practice (or states that the location covers) if that state requires an RCP license to allow the practice of respiratory therapy
  • Hold a current CPR Certification
  • Hold all applicable licensure in good standing for all states of practice
