This role will be based in our manufacturing facility in Macedon, NY.

WHAT WE NEED

The Process Improvement Engineer, as a member of the Operations team, will be assigned to a specific line to eliminate process losses on equipment or areas, and drive standards and effective problem solving. This individual will be responsible for identifying, analyzing, and implementing process improvements that enhance production efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure high-quality standards across our manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have a background in lean manufacturing, data analysis, and problem-solving, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally to drive continuous improvement initiatives.


WHAT YOU WILL DO

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identify, prioritize and eliminate process losses.
  • Build the process capability & control (PQM/ MU / SPC / RE).
  • Provide feedback to design and lead smart standardization deployment.
  • Define the equipment standards.
  • Lead the change management & validation processes .
  • Lead and build the capability of process failures technical troubleshooting.
  • Lead process benchmarking & reapplication.
  • Collaborate with Maintenance Line Leads and Managers Operation Performance (OPM) to develop new standards.

TASKS

  • Design, implement and maintain systems to collect and analyze data for critical product and process parameters.
  • Use this data to identify process losses.
  • Work with line management to prioritize improvement opportunities.
  • Eliminate or reduce (prioritized) losses through making process or work system changes.
  • Participate in the daily direction-setting process – report results, flag issues and request resources.
  • Own critical daily management systems, e.g. center-lining (run-to-target).
  • Use Reliability Engineering tools to drive center-lining and loss elimination
  • Standardize equipment and work processes. Own the change management system for a designated process. Update process control strategies and operating procedures as changes occur.
  • Share and reapply learning across processes, modules and plants.
  • Prepare and give training on process/equipment changes.
  • Develop him/ herself through participating in corporate and external training.
  • Take part on planned stops and RCO’s flowing to the line as needed
  • Standardize and improve RCO’s


WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL

  • BS Degree in Industrial, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
  • A minimum of one (1) year engineering experience working on process improvement, lean, or performance improvement projects in manufacturing.
    • New graduates with co-op/internship experience will be considered
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment
  • Experience with regulatory authorities (OSHA, EPA, USDA)
  • Understanding and experience of applicable NFPA, NEC, ANSI and GMP standards
