Job Title: Life Enrichment Assistant

Location: Legacy Oaks of Sacramento, Sacramento, CA

Employment Type: Full-Time / Part-Time

Position Summary:

The Life Enrichment Assistant supports the Life Enrichment Coordinator in planning, coordinating, and leading social, therapeutic, and cognitive programs. This role promotes resident engagement and ensures compliance with Title 22 RCFE regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in planning and executing daily and monthly activity programs.
  • Lead or co-lead group activities such as arts, music, games, exercise, spiritual services, and educational sessions.
  • Provide one-on-one support to residents as needed.
  • Collaborate with dietary, wellness, and administrative staff to integrate activities.
  • Document attendance, participation, and resident observations.
  • Support volunteers and guests in program activities.
  • Follow safety, infection control, and Title 22 RCFE standards.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (coursework in gerontology, recreational therapy, or related field preferred).
  • Experience with older adults in assisted living or similar settings preferred.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Creative, patient, flexible, and professional demeanor.
  • Ability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed.
  • Must pass background check, TB test, and health screenings.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to move safely throughout the facility, assist residents, and lift up to 35 lbs.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform activity setup/cleanup.
