Part Time - $16-$18/hour

SUMMARY

The Refreshment Break Attendant is responsible for ensuring the setup, service, and breakdown of morning and afternoon refreshment breaks are completed efficiently and to the highest standard. This includes the preparation, replenishment, and transport of beverages and food items while delivering excellent guest service in accordance with Scholar Hotel standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Guest Service

  • Maintains guest service as the driving philosophy of the operation.

  • Provides friendly, professional, and attentive service to all guests.

  • Promotes a welcoming environment so guests feel comfortable and well cared for.

  • Anticipates and promptly responds to guest needs and requests.

  • Takes initiative and gets creative in resolving guest challenges and involves a supervisor when needed.

  • Ensures service delivery consistently meets or exceeds hotel guest satisfaction standards.

Refreshment Break Attendant Operations

  • Job duties may include but are not limited to any or all the following depending on the type of event assigned:

  • Prepare and serve food for coffee breaks and continental breakfasts.

  • Maintain cleanliness of all areas in accordance with safe food service practices.

  • Complete all side-work and cleaning duties as described in the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

  • Ensures that maintenance, cleanliness, supplies and organization of all RBS areas.

  • Inspects functions areas and corrects issues immediately.

  • Ensures good working relations with Catering, Sales, Culinary and other RBS Team Members.

  • Maintains knowledge of menu items, setups, and workstations prior to each function.

  • Ensures refreshment break areas are properly set with correct equipment, supplies and presentation standards.

  • Ensures RBS facilities are safe and secure upon completion of shift.

  • Maintains regular, reliable attendance in line with scheduling needs (including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required).

  • Maintains high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which includes wearing the proper uniform and name tag when working.

  • Complies with Scholar Hotel standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.

  • Completes other duties as assigned.
