The Test Equipment Engineering (TEE) Directorate is a multi-discipline organization responsible for developing test solutions for all Raytheon Missile Defense (RMD) products. We are hands-on, designing with the latest technology and tools, and integrate state of the art test solutions with the most advanced engineering systems in the world. TEE products are located in engineering labs, in the field, and in production environments utilized for weapon system product verification, qualification, test data analysis, and production test solution development. TEE has job opportunities across all phases of the engineering lifecycle, including demonstrations, early engineering tests, design verification tests, production, and sustainment

TEE is looking for Mechanical Designer/Drafter II to be responsible for coordination, creation, complex design, developing, documenting, and maintenance of Technical Data Packages (TDP).  

This position is 100% onsite in Tucson, Arizona. 

What You Will Do

  • Create dimensioned detail drawings compliant with industry, Raytheon Engineering Document Standards (EDS) and manufacturing standards.

  • Dimension detail drawings ensuring they are accurate, complete and dimensioned to support program requirements and tolerance build up analysis.

  • Update detail drawings throughout the various review cycles per engineering input and Implement drawing updates as per engineering change requests

  • Utilize company modeling best practices and adhere to TE One Page processes.

  • Collaborate effectively cross functionally, building relationships with downstream reviewers and releasers.

  • Use software in recommended methods which promote consistency for ease of revision and reduction in model/drawing complexity.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum two (2) years of prior relevant experience or An Advanced Degree in a related field.

  • Minimum of two (2) years of technical experience in mechanical design and/or production support.

  • Minimum of two (2) years experience with CAD solid modeling tools and analysis tools with an emphasis on ProE / CREO Parametric.

  • Experience with geometric dimensioning and tolerance (GD&T) analysis.

  • Experience creating complete mechanical and design drawing packages.

  • The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance prior to the start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Value

  • Experience with Configuration Management processes, application, and tools (e.g., Windchill / cPDM).

  • Experience with cable design, specifically CREO Schematic.

  • Experience in mechanical sub-systems packaging, materials, thermal analysis, structural analysis, control systems, electrical hardware design, or large assembly development. 

  • Experience with environmental stress screening of hardware (e.g., vibration, shock, thermal, etc.).

  • Previous Internship and/or Co-Op.

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
