Job description

Essential Functions:
This position is responsible for:
  • Sample all incoming raw milk tankers for the purpose of performing quality testing as required by the FDA Pasteurized Milk Ordinance.
  • Accurately review incoming milk tankers documentation according to state standards.
  • Successfully perform antibiotic testing in all milk tankers following Appendix N and report any deviations to Industry Supervisor.
  • Review and maintain records pertaining to General Laboratory Practices (GLP) in accordance with company procedures.
  • Complete all documentation related to raw ingredients receiving for management and accounting purposes.
  • Conduct CIP activities on silos and tankers as need it.
  • Conduct sanitation activities per master sanitation schedule.
  • Understand the receiving process to effectively troubleshoot issues as they arise, and effectively communicate with Supervisor and/or Manager.
  • Place high priority on food safety and sanitation by understanding and executing MVFF food safety and sanitation policies and procedures.
  • Prioritize safety above all other job duties by having a safety-first approach at all times.
  • Effectively communicate any food safety incident, observation, or opportunity to your leadership team or teammates, as well as participating in food safety and sanitation root cause analysis and improvement activities when required.
  • Follow MVFF good manufacturing practices at all times.
  • Follow other instructions as directed by management.
  • Complete all duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:
To be a successful Raw Receiver, you will need:
  • Adhere to all safety, food safety, and quality policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrate commitment to teamwork and continuous improvement.
  • Must pass written and equipment evaluation examination to obtain a Sampler & Weigher's license from the California Department of Food and Agriculture (CDFA) within the first 60 days.
  • Must pass written and practical evaluation to obtain Industry Analyst certification per California Department of Food and Agriculture (CDFA) within the first 60 days.
  • Must be able to work in a manufacturing factory & various inside and outside locations with varying temperatures and floor surfaces.
  • This is a highly physical role and will require constant fine manipulation with both hands, often standing, walking, and will require lifting up to 60 pounds regularly.
  • Must have the ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods, climb stairs, and walk as needed on the manufacturing floor and warehouse.
  • Must wear personal protective equipment as defined/required by job assignments.
