A NEW ROLE - POWERED BY FLEX HR

Material Handler I

Sandersville, GA· Full-Time · On-Site · Manufacturing

ABOUT THE ROLE

This is a hands-on role at the center of plant operations. As a Material Handler I, you'll be responsible for the

safe loading and unloading of railcars, tank trucks, trailer trucks, and vans carrying raw materials and chemical

products. You'll also play a key role in packaging and labeling finished goods — making sure the right product

gets to the right place, every time.

keeping things running smoothly, this role is for you.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Load and unload railcars, tank trucks, trailers, totes, and drums of raw materials

• Transfer and package finished products into totes, drums, or pails per customer orders; label and placard

accordingly

• Operate a forklift safely; perform daily forklift inspections

• Pull and stage raw materials for production; assist in raw material make down

• Support mechanical repairs and preventative maintenance tasks

• Maintain plant and office housekeeping standards

• Sign paperwork for outgoing shipments

• Assist with end-of-month inventory counts

• Participate in monthly safety meetings; wear required PPE at all times

• Adhere to all Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) policies

• Support the company's Quality Management System (QMS)

• Obtain and maintain US DOT Hazardous Materials Transportation Certification

• Perform additional duties as assigned by Production and Maintenance Supervisors

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Required

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Ability to lift 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and climb stairs

• Ability to safely operate a forklift

• Good verbal and written communication skills

• Basic computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

• Ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs)

• Must pass company pre-employment physical and drug screen

Preferred

• 2+ years of experience in chemical manufacturing or warehousing
