What are some common challenges faced by Ravn pilots when operating in remote areas?

Ravn pilots frequently encounter unique challenges when flying in Alaska's remote regions, such as rapidly changing weather conditions, limited navigational aids, and rugged terrain. Pilots must be highly adaptable and prepared for situations like sudden fog, snow, or strong winds, which can affect flight plans and schedules. Additionally, flying into small, often unpaved airports requires strong short takeoff and landing (STOL) skills and close coordination with ground crews. These challenges make safety awareness, decision-making, and teamwork especially critical in this role.
