CLEARANCE REQUIRED: Current and Active Secret Clearance

SALARY: $90k - $110k

Position Description:

The Rational Administrator will be responsible for various aspects of infrastructure management including implementation, maintenance, performance monitoring and capacity planning, troubleshooting, and support.

Job Responsibilities:

  •  Configure, operate and perform system administration of Configuration Management tools solutions consisting of Rational Design Manager, Rational Publishing Engine, Rational Quality Manager, Rational Requirements Composer, Rational Team Concert, Rational BuildForge, Rational Test Virtualization and Rational Test Workbench.
  •  Administer and maintain legacy IBM Rational installations - ClearQuest (CQ), ClearCase (CC), etc.

  • Administer and support Rational to end users (including software development, testing and technical/infrastructure teams), in developing and managing environments, and troubleshooting.

  • Administer the Rational License Manager

  •  Automate, maintain, and execute processes and procedures in support of routine administrative tasks.

  • Assist in capacity planning and performance management of supported services/technologies.

  • Define and maintain appropriate controls and documentation ensuring compliance with regulatory and audit requirements.

  • Develop, maintain, and execute processes and procedures to ensure ongoing Disaster Recovery Readiness.

  • Create documents, including design, test plans, User Guides, SOPs, work instructions

  • Other tasks as assigned

Minimum Requirements:

  • A 4-year degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field, or 7+ years of equivalent experience

  • Expertise in administration and configuration of IBM Rational tools, or equivalent product suite, including configuration scripting using SQL, Perl, Visual Basic, etc.

  • Expertise in planning, designing, implementing and administration of configuration repository solutions for IBM Rational tools, including database integration

  • Experience with development, configuration, administration and operational support of Rational Jazz CLM suite

  • Must have good understanding and knowledge of Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) concepts and processes, including Agile and Dev/OPS

  • Experience implementing Git/GitLab, release engineering and build automation is a plus

  • ITIL certification is desirable

Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or 7+ years of equivalent experience.
