About the Opportunity:

The Financial Analyst helps prepare the Capital Project Services Division'soperatingandcapitalfunds'annual budgets, supervises the accounts payable, accounts receivable, and contractingfunction for the division, prepares financial reports, updates financial forecast models for special funds and analyzes and reviews financial activity reportswith division and department leadership.This position reports to one of two Senior Financial Analysts in the department.Budget preparation involves working with the Senior Administrative Manager, Senior Financial Analysts,DivisionManagerandotherstaff over several months to prepare, review, and analyze the department's requested budget. The totaldepartmentbudget is approximately $635million and includes 339full-timepositions.

Minimum Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • ABachelor's Degree in finance, accounting, economics, statistics, or a related field; AND two (2) years of progressively responsible professional experience performing budgetary or financial analysis, or auditing; OR

  • AnAssociate's Degree in finance, accounting, economics, statistics, or a related field; AND four (4) years of progressively responsible professional experience performing budgetary or financial analysis, or auditing; OR

  • Six (6) years of progressively responsible professional experience performing budgetary or financial analysis, or auditing, of which at least four (4) years of experience must be in the public sector.
