Job description

Position Description:

We are seeking Mid and Senior level SAP ABAP Developers with demonstrated experience developing modern SAP S/4HANA solutions using the latest SAP development technologies. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience building cloud-ready, upgrade-safe applications using SAP S/4HANA, SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), the ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP), and modern SAP extensibility frameworks. Candidates should be comfortable working in Agile delivery environments, translating business requirements into technical solutions, and developing scalable applications that follow SAP Clean Core principles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, test, and deploy SAP ABAP solutions for SAP S/4 HANA implementations and modernization projects
  • Develop cloud-ready applications using SAP BTP, RAP, and CAP where applicable
  • Develop HANA CDS Views, OData services, REST APIs, and Fiori-enables applications
  • Design integrations between SAP and enterprise applications using APIs, web services, RFCs, IDocs, proxies, and Integration Suite
  • Translate functional requirements into technical specifications and scalable development solutions
  • Perform debugging, performance tuning, code optimization and root cause analysis
  • Apply SAP Clean Core principles and modern extensibility techniques
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and collaborate with functional consultants, architects, and business stakeholders
  • Conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers

Required Qualifications:

  • U.S. Citizenship is required
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a federal Public Trust or other government security clearance, as required
  • 3-5 years of SAP ABAP development experience for Mid-Level positions; 6+ years for Senior-level
  • Recent hands-on SAP S/4 HANA development experience
  • Experience with SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP)
  • Hands-on experience with ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP)
  • Experience developing HANA CDS Views, Object-Oriented ABAP, OData V2/V4 services, and SAP Fiori applications
  • Experience integrating SAP using REST APIs, web services, RFCs, IDocs, proxies, and SAP Integration Suite
  • Strong debugging, performance tuning, and HANA optimization skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with SAP Cloud Application Programming Model (CAP).
  • Experience with SAP Clean Core development and side-by-side extensibility.
  • Experience supporting end-to-end SAP S/4HANA implementation or migration projects
  • Experience with SAP Integration Suite, Event Mesh, API Management, or SAP Build
  • Federal government or public sector SAP implementation experience
  • SAP certifications in ABAP Development, SAP S/4HANA, SAP BTP, or Agile methodologies
