The city and surrounding region is the largest population and primary business center between Chicago and Seattle. Minneapolis was historically a marketplace for timber, became the flour milling capital of the world, and, to the present day, preserved its financial clout. Anchoring strong music and performing arts scenes, Minneapolis is home to both the Guthrie Theater and the First Avenue nightclub.

Comprehensive health care is provided through primary care, tertiary care and long-term care in areas of medicine, surgery, psychiatry, physical medicine and rehabilitation, neurology, oncology, dentistry, geriatrics and extended care. Location: One Veterans Drive, Minneapolis, MN 55417

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

The Diagnostic Radiological Technologist - Cardiovascular (DRT-CV) is a member of the Cardiac Catheterization Team with current and active experience scrubbing in for Electrophysiology Procedures and Interventional Cardiology procedures in the Cardiac Catherization Suite. He/she must be able to independently carry out a variety of complex physiological and radiological procedures.

He/she performs highly specialized invasive radiological cardiovascular, structural heart, intra coronary ultrasound and complex electrophysiology procedures without the direct supervision of a Cardiologist. The Contractor's Diagnostic Radiological Technologist-Cardiovascular shall cover the range of complex physiological and radiological procedures as would be provided in a state-of-the-art civilian medical treatment facility and the standard of care shall be of a quality, meeting or exceeding currently recognized national standards.

Requirements:

  • Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) and/or Registered Radiology Technologist with American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and/or American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certified.
  • Cardiac Catherization Suite. relating to Electrophysiology Procedures and Interventional Cardiology Procedures in the and expertise, i.e.: any education, internships, licenses, certifications, or awards in areas Diagnostic Radiology Technician - Cardiovascular specialized training
  • Active and current experience for Diagnostic Radiology Technologist – Cardiovascular.
  • Catherization Suite. Electrophysiology Procedures and Interventional Cardiology Procedures in the Cardiac Experience scrubbing in for
  • Experience and full knowledge of radiation techniques and protection standards.

Term of contract: June 1, 2021 – November 30, 2021 with one available option period.
