Position Summary
Rango Inc. is seeking an experienced Field Safety Specialist to lead safety training, compliance, and field support across multiple job sites. This role partners closely with operations to promote a strong safety culture, ensure regulatory compliance, and support safe, efficient project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct MSHA Part 48 & 46 training (new miner, refresher, experienced miner)
- Maintain training records and ensure compliance with MSHA requirements
- Perform job site audits, safety inspections, and equipment reviews
- Identify hazards and implement corrective actions
- Develop and update safety and environmental policies and procedures
- Create safe work plans for specific projects and field activities
- Partner with operations teams to align safety with business needs
- Lead/support incident investigations and ensure proper reporting
- Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement
Qualifications
- MSHA Part 48 Blue Card holder
- 5+ years as a safety professional in hard rock mining (Part 48)
- Strong knowledge of MSHA regulations and safety standards
- Experience delivering training, audits, and site inspections
- Proficient in safety program and policy development
- Ability to work effectively with operations and field teams
- Solid understanding of standard construction practices
- Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
- Valid driver’s license
Preferred:
- Background in Industrial Hygiene (IH)
Additional Requirements
- Based in Elko, NV
- Up to 50% travel
Salary Range
$95,000 - $120,000 Depending on Experience
