JOB SUMMARY: The Complex Grounds Crew member will work to ensure the outdoor areas around the Entertainment District and Texas Rangers properties are well maintained, safe, clean, and attractive. Duties include, but not limited to skillfully operate a variety of vehicles and equipment such as mowers, trimmers, and blowers, execute daily lawn and plant care duties such as planting, cultivating, and trimming grounds & landscaping, assist with irrigation maintenance and repair, assist with other general maintenance requests, and other assignments as needed. The Complex Grounds Crew member should be prepared to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:

  • Operate vehicles and powered equipment associated with landscape maintenance such as riding mowers, push mowers, weed eaters, edgers, blowers, and hand tools.

  • Perform basic landscape duties including mowing, edging, trimming, laying sod, planting flowers, cleaning and maintaining parking lots, trash and debris pickup, leaf removal, and watering plants.

  • Use hand tools such as shovels, rakes, pruning equipment, gas powered hedge trimmers.

  • Provide detailed upkeep of assigned areas within the property such as parking lots, sidewalks, flower beds, including trash removal.

  • Proper care of all materials and equipment assigned to you.

  • Wash and maintain assigned cart and equipment assigned to you each day.

  • Record and report any damages, irrigation leaks, plant or sod issues, and any equipment failures.

  • Other duties as assigned.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to work well with a team or individually with minimal supervision.

  • Experience and aptitude for landscape maintenance work.

  • Ability to work long hours in heat or cold in an outdoor environment.

  • Flexibility in work hours.

  • Stand; walk, stoop, kneel, or crouch; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; talk and hear, lift and/move up to 35 pounds, carry 35 pounds and push/pull up to 50 pounds.

  • Ability to use hands to manipulate and effectively use tools and controls.

  • Requires long periods of time on feet.
