JOB SUMMARY: The Rangers are seeking a versatile and customer-focused IT Technician to join our team! This role is responsible for ensuring the reliable operation of desktops, laptops, tablet devices, and related technology. The IT Technician provides hands-on-related troubleshooting, device setup, and day to day technical support while delivering excellent customer service and maintaining established IT standards and procedures.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:

  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues for users in a timely manner.

  • Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain computer hardware and standard business software.

  • Assist with user account administration, including Active Directory and Okta, password resets, and access requests.

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot basic network issues, including LAN, Wi Fi, and VPN connectivity.

  • Create, update, and close support tickets accurately and promptly within the IT ticketing system.

  • Maintain clear and accurate documentation of issues, resolutions, and asset inventory.

  • Support peripherals and specialized equipment such as printers, docking stations, ticket and suite scanners, and conference room technology.

  • Follow IT policies, security standards, and best practices to protect systems and company data.

  • Other duties as assigned.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3 years in a technical support role, or an equivalent combination of experience, education, or certifications preferred.

  • Solid understanding of computer systems, mobile devices, peripherals, and basic networking concepts.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize issues, and work independently or as part of a team.

  • Strong working knowledge of Windows and macOS operating systems and basic networking principles (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).

  • Experience supporting cloud platforms such as Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace.

  • Proven ability to analyze problems, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.

  • Clear verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.

  • Professional demeanor with a strong focus on user satisfaction.

  • Industry certifications (CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar) are a plus.

  • Must be able to lift, carry, and transport moderately heavy equipment (up to 50 pounds), including computers, monitors, printers, and other IT peripherals.

  • Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, or climb ladders to access cables, wiring, or equipment in tight spaces or elevated locations.
