Summary
You will serve as a SUPERVISORY LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the SUPPLY BRANCH of NCIS.
This position is in the excepted service and does not confer competitive status.

  • You will supervise the work of subordinates.
  • You will set goals and objectives for accomplishing projects and establishing work standards.
  • You will provide program oversight to ensure timely integration of new or changing logistics concepts and to develop methods and techniques required for program execution.
  • You will review overall operations to determine operational problems to determine and implement changes necessary to meet long-range objectives.
  • You will ensure vehicle, safety, supplies and AA/E programs are in compliance with established laws and policies.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at the GS-13 or equivalent level. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
  • Experience organizing, directing, and controlling all functional areas and associated resources related to mission accomplishment.
  • Experience reviewing accomplishments of subordinate branches for technical adequacy, consistency and compliance with policies, procedures, and directives.
  • Experience providing oversight of ammunition commodities during processing in supply maintenance operations and coordinating and resolving commodity specific issues.

PPP applicants will be placed at the FPL, if determined Well Qualified (WQ). To receive priority consideration, the FPL must be the same grade level or equivalent of the retained grade or the grade held immediately prior to separation.
This position is subject to an initial drug screening, and random testing thereafter. A negative drug test result must be received by HR within 30 calendar days after the EOD (i.e., start date). The selectee's inability to successfully pass; or refusal to conduct the test may result in: 1) the tentative or final job offer being withdrawn during the recruitment process; or 2) subsequently being removed from Federal service for failure to meet a condition of employment. You may be required to sign a "Drug Test Statement of Understanding" if you are selected for this position.
