Job description

  • Performs duties required for the position using good safety workmanship
  • Follows the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor, Lead person or Department Head in completing assigned work
  • Performs all activities using good safety practices.  Manages routine work activities using good safety practices
  • Operates district vehicles when needed using good safety practices
  • Operates hand/power equipment required in the craft
  • Maintains tools, equipment, and supplies assigned
  • Requests supervisory assistance in areas in which expertise is lacking
  • Selects and uses the proper tools and equipment required for the assigned work
  • Performs all other tasks and duties as assigned
  • All federally funded incumbents of this position must comply with time and effort reporting requirements through personnel activity reports or periodic certification, as appropriate
  • Accredited High School Diploma or equivalent (U.S.A. equivalency) preferred. 
  • One (1) year of directly related experience
  • Basic literacy, including command of the English language.
  • Must possess the physical ability to meet the requirements of the position.
  • Knowledge of District organizations and operations as required.
  • Dependable work experience preferred.
  • Must maintain a Texas Driver's License that meets Dallas ISD standards.
  • Must be able to pass the Dallas ISD random drug test.

Minimum Salary with Driver's License: $23.09

Minimum Salary without Driver's License: $21.02
