Job description

Classification & Grade Equipment Operator III (E-3) Employees in Grade E-3 will be responsible for the following in addition to being qualified to perform the duties of Grades E-2 and E-1. Key Job Tasks:
  • Load and unload receiving or shipping vehicles and perform all required counts - cycle inventory, etc.
  • Do verification, inspections grading and quality assurance checks and functions.
  • Perform all RF Gun tasks needed to move product to any locations needed.
  • Do labeling ticketing sorting and other related functions as required and communicate quality issues with other employees.
  • Move, retrieve, put away product in warehouse and shrink wrap pallets as needed.
  • Average or above average attendance is required and is an essential function of the job.
  • Keep equipment and work area safe and clean daily.
  • Keep supervisor informed of equipment malfunctions and safety issues and do daily paperwork required.
  • Perform other duties assigned by supervisor.
Requirements:
  • Must pass both written and operative equipment test to operate all required pieces of powered equipment used in the DC such as but not limited to pallet trucks, sit down forklifts, pallet riders, man up picking/scissor equipment and the reach truck.
  • On an annual basis must pass vision screening. Re-certification required every three years and must pass powered equipment performance test.
  • The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
  • Moderate physical effort is required to climb onto powered equipment. Requires ability to walk, stand, stoop, kneel, bend, twist and climb stairs.
  • Must be able to lift more than 30 pounds on a repetitive basis.
  • Must be able to work overtime hours as workload dictates.
  • Must be able to work in varied temperatures.
  • Must be able to maintain at least average performance and accuracy to hold classification.
  • Average or above average attendance is required and is an essential function of the job.
