Job description

Position Goal
Responsible for providing direct patient care based on treatment plan established by primary Physical Therapist.
Position Responsibilities:
  • Administer physical therapy treatment programs as supervised and directed by PT staff.
  • Adhere to the plan of care established by PT for each patient's care.
  • Operate therapeutic equipment and devices as necessary.
  • Document care and other patient information for medical records including history, treatment and consultations.
  • Comply with department policies/procedures and regulations related to infection control and safety precautions.
  • Bill patients according to proper procedures.
  • Serve as an educational resource for patients, families, and other members of the therapy staff.
  • Participate in professional development activities and maintain professional affiliations.
  • Maintain HIPAA and abide by appropriate State Ethics laws.
  • Perform appropriate wound care and assessment to enhance surgical outcomes.
  • Provide documentation with appropriate progress in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Stay up to date on appropriate protocols for patient population.

  • Associate degree in Physical Therapy.

Special Qualifications:

  • May require working at multiple locations.
  • Valid Driver's License, satisfactory motor vehicle report (MVR) and proof of insurance required for position on-boarding.
  • Annual MVR may be required per policy and procedure; background reports may be ran as needed throughout the course of employment.
  • Current PTA license.
  • Maintain BLS certification.
