Job description

The Senior Business Process Specialist - Ramp Up New Advisor Experience serves as a highly experienced subject matter expert of end-to-end business process with consultative responsibilities. This role is responsible for leading the design, execution, and continuous improvement of the onboarding and ramp-up experience for new financial advisors. The individual owns the end-to-end administrative and launch support process, ensuring new advisors have a seamless and structured start to their careers. In partnership with field leaders and enterprise training teams, the Sr BPS of RampUp, New Advisor Experience ensures that new advisors consistently adopt advice-driven behaviors, deliver a high-quality client experience, and are positioned for early and sustained success. This role is responsible for representing the business, regulatory and compliance requirements through collaboration with execution teams and by leading large strategic initiatives. They will be responsible for ensuring business need is clearly understood and the end-to-end solution of the Ramp Up Program meets the needs by delivering enhanced client/agent experiences, cost efficiencies, and/or competitive advantage across multiple functional business areas/disciplines. Along with maintaining processes and procedures utilized by the processing teams, they will ensure they are accurate and at the right level of detail for judgement-based decision making. Ongoing process improvement and standardization to ensure efficient processes is expected of this role.

DUTIES &RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Acts as the key point of contact for the department to support themanyand varied initiatives they mayparticipatein for Ramp Up new advisor program.

  • Leads large initiatives for Ramp Up to define businessneed, articulate business value, process requirements, research, recommendappropriate solutionsand implementation.

  • Support and/or develop an environment in which Thrivent employees and colleaguesare focusedon continuous improvement, exceptional employee engagement, and an unwavering commitment to our clients.

  • Defines priorities and aligns work accordingly - often balancing multiple tasks and multiple priorities at once.

  • Identifiesoptions, risks, upstream and downstream businessimpactof proposed solutions to communicate recommendations to upline leaders.

  • Develops andmaintainsend-to-end process knowledgeacrossfunctional areas, including process design, and process performance.

  • Provide work direction/mentorship to new advisors in the program.

  • Supportsinthe development of change management material and activities to support new processes and procedures. Influence without authority through explanation of facts, policies, and practices.

  • Ensure all systems, administrative processes, and training elements are integrated and aligned with field expectations and regulatory standards.

  • Own the communication, coordination, and stakeholder alignment across departments supporting the new advisor journey.

  • Partner with field leaders and coaches to monitor progress, identify gaps, and offer targeted recommendations for improvement.

  • Guide new advisors in how to operationalize client service standards, planning tools, and workflow systems to build scalable practices.

  • Continuously assess and enhance the advisor onboarding and ramp-up model based on feedback, performance data, and evolving business needs.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • 5+ years of practical experience performing analysis and supporting medium to large efforts in a SME capacity.

  • Strong knowledge of advice-based planning models, compliance standards, and advisor support infrastructure.

  • Advanced levels ofprovencritical thinking, analysisskillsand independence.

  • Hold yourself accountable, setting a high standard for yourself and others aroundyou

  • Experience with improving and/or creating processes.

  • Ability to multi-task significant priorities with complex components

  • Experience with informal leadership of cross functional teams that lead to action andresults

  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.Ability to build relationships across differentaudiences

  • Proven organizational skills.

Preferred:

  • Prior experience leading advisor onboarding or development programs at a regional or enterprise level.

  • FINRA licenses (Series 7, 66) or deep familiarity with the regulatory environment for financial advisors.

  • Experience with CRM, planning tools, and workflow systems used in advisor practices.

  • Exceptional oral, written,presentationcommunication andinterpersonal skillsfor various levels within the organization.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of service processing and operations as well as pertinent laws and regulations.Accountable for understanding the process in depth, ability to explain most complex inquiries around process and procedures.

  • Knowledge/understanding of Continuous Improvement and change management methodologies (i.e.DMAIC and ADKAR) through participation within CI and projects and certification (i.e.Green Belt preferred).

  • Experience working with multiple project management methodologies (i.e., agile, waterfall) including requirements, testing, design, and implementation strategies.

The applicable salary or hourly wage range for this full-time role is $89,895.00 - $121,621.00 per year, which factors in various geographic regions.
