We're currently seeking a Ramp Manager to join our team.
The Ramp Manager will lead a complex operation of employees focused on safety, administration, maintenance, train performance and productivity. Ramp Managers are charged with developing and driving ramp strategies and solutions through people, systems and process to continuously ensure excellence in safety, profitability and service. Successful Ramp Managers will meet the customer's scheduling requirements through on-time spot and release of trains with timely grounding of autos.
Location: 329 Bethel Avenue Aston, Pennsylvania 19014 United States
Starting Pay: $76,000-$102,000 per year
Status: Full-Time | Immediate Hire
Schedule: Open availability required, including all shifts, weekends, and holidays.
Responsibilities:
  • Leads Ramp to ensure KPIs are met; (cph, inventories, damage prevention, etc)
  • Accountable for overall P&L responsibilities
  • Develops and drives existing staff to enhance Engagement & Retention within the Ramp
  • Builds collaborative partnerships between ITSC and local railroad officers
  • Acts as key point of contact between ITSC and our customers
  • Enforces and upholds all ITSC rules, regulations and policies
  • Approaches violations with care and administers disciplinary actions when required
  • Monitors and approves terminal purchases for payment & manages purchases within budget
  • Approves weekly time & attendance and ensures data is accurate and timely
  • Partners with Talent Acquisition to ensure the Ramp is fully staffed
  • Owns the Training and Orientation process of all employees to ensure their ongoing success
  • Provides Ramp Metrics & Reports as needed
  • Other duties as assigned (administrative & non-administrative)

Requirements:
  • 3+ years leadership experience
  • Exceptional organizational, multi-tasking and time management skills
  • Excellent communication skills are mandatory
  • Proficient in Outlook and MS Office suite of products
  • Strong Work Ethic
  • Open availability
  • Willingness to work in varying weather conditions
  • Must pass a pre-employment background verification, physical and drug screening
      • The Federal Rail Administration sets and enforces safety regulations and standards for railroad operations. If applicable for the position you are applying to, and if you are offered the position, you will have to take and pass a drug screen.
