Position Summary

R amp; F Metals, Inc. is seeking a dependable Aluminum Railing Grinder to join our fabrication team. This position is responsible for grinding, scraping, sanding, and finishing aluminum railings and related components to prepare them for final inspection, finishing, and installation.

The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, reliable, attentive to detail, and comfortable working with hand and power tools in a fabrication shop.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Grind and smooth welds on aluminum railings and components.
  • Scrape, sand, deburr, and remove sharp edges or surface imperfections.
  • Prepare aluminum products for powder coating, painting, or other finishes.
  • Inspect finished work for rough areas, scratches, defects, and incomplete weld cleanup.
  • Use grinders, sanders, scrapers, files, and other hand and power tools safely.
  • Handle materials carefully to prevent scratches, dents, or other damage.
  • Follow drawings, work instructions, and directions from supervisors.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Perform routine inspections of tools and equipment.
  • Wear required personal protective equipment and follow all company safety procedures.
  • Assist with other shop and material-handling duties as assigned.
