Noble Hearts HR Consulting & Staffing is proactively building a talent pipeline for upcoming Document Controller and Senior Document Controller opportunities with a leading infrastructure consulting organization. These positions will support major transportation and public infrastructure programs alongside engineering, construction management, and project delivery teams.

We anticipate multiple openings over the coming months and are seeking highly organized professionals who thrive in fast-paced project environments and are passionate about delivering accurate, compliant, and efficient document management.

Position Summary

The Document Controller and Senior Document Controller roles are responsible for managing, organizing, and maintaining critical project documentation for complex infrastructure, engineering, and construction projects. This role ensures project records remain accurate, compliant, and readily accessible while supporting project managers, engineers, construction teams, consultants, and stakeholders throughout every phase of project delivery.

Successful candidates bring exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and experience supporting enterprise document management systems, document workflows, reporting, and continuous process improvement initiatives. The role supports documentation systems, workflow coordination, reporting, compliance activities, and operational readiness across project teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage project documentation throughout the entire project lifecycle.
  • Coordinate document workflows, including transmittals, submittals, RFIs, correspondence, and engineering deliverables.
  • Maintain document registers, logs, tracking systems, and project records.
  • Ensure proper document review, approval, distribution, version control, and archival.
  • Support project teams by maintaining accurate, compliant, and accessible documentation.
  • Develop and improve document control procedures, workflows, templates, and standards.
  • Maintain SharePoint sites, document repositories, dashboards, and reporting tools.
  • Support audit readiness and quality assurance by ensuring documentation complies with established standards.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, contractors, consultants, and project controls professionals.
  • Identify opportunities to improve documentation processes and operational efficiency. These responsibilities align with enterprise document control coordination, reporting, workflow management, compliance, and continuous improvement functions.
QualificationsRequired
  • Experience as a Document Controller, Senior Document Controller, or similar role supporting engineering, construction, or infrastructure projects.
  • Experience managing project documentation on transportation, rail, highway, transit, water, utilities, or other large capital infrastructure projects.
  • Strong understanding of document control principles, document lifecycle management, and quality assurance.
  • Experience managing transmittals, submittals, RFIs, engineering drawings, specifications, and project records.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional accuracy.
