Job description

People Operations Manager

BLU Crew · Caddo Mills, TX · $80,000–$95,000 + bonus · Full-time

About BLU Crew: Job sites are chaotic, dusty, and worn from months of hard labor; but the moment doors open, people expect a flawless environment, as if no work ever happened. BLU Crew operates at the final and most critical stage of construction. We transform hard-worked construction environments into pristine, polished spaces, ready for the customers, businesses, and communities they were built for.

Based in Caddo Mills, east of Dallas, we are a HUB certified, minority owned company working across seven states: Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, New Mexico, Missouri, Minnesota, and Florida. Our crews perform final cleans on new commercial buildings for premium general contractors and developers who trust us with the spaces that have to be flawless: gyms, dealerships, schools, hospital builds, data centers, and luxury residential turnovers.

We are growing rapidly, and we build the systems to match. A defined five phase process on every project. The CLEAN methodology, top to bottom, that every technician trains and certifies on. Photo backed reporting in real time that protects our clients' margins. A structured training program, written standards for every part of the work, and software we build in house. Our goal is to be the country's leading construction cleaning provider by 2030. This role exists because our growth has outpaced what the founders can carry alone. The person who fills it will build and own the people engine of a company on its way up.

Position Summary: In this role, you will take ownership of full-cycle talent acquisition, onboarding, training and development, performance evaluations, and employee engagement. You will work directly with and support the owners of the company to ensure business processes and systems are supported and run smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

Recruiting: Create job descriptions, manage job postings, and facilitate a structured interview process through offer extension and acceptance.

Onboarding: Conduct new-hire orientation for each class of new hires.

Training: Manage employee training plans from day one through day 90, including training on-site at the shop and at occasional job sites.

Performance: Conduct regular one-on-one meetings with every technician to discuss performance, progression, and promotions.

Talent Metrics: Track recruiting and performance metrics to continuously improve recruiting strategies.

Engagement: Conduct regular check-ins with employees to build rapport and foster intentional relationship building.

Work Location: This role is primarily on-site at our shop in Caddo Mills, with flexibility to regularly work remotely. Occasional job-site visits are expected.

Qualifications

3+ years of experience managing a full recruiting desk, including but not limited to hourly, salaried, seasonal, and part-time employees.

Dedication to learning construction cleaning techniques and processes in order to deliver training for current and future employees.

Strong process and systems orientation.

Experience navigating difficult conversations with clear, confident communication.

Spanish is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits: $80,000–$95,000 annual base compensation depending on experience, plus a performance bonus and a 401(k) with a 6% company match.

To Apply: Submit a resume and complete the application questions on the posting.
