Land Mobile Radio (LMR) Technician II CLC 40

At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As a Land Mobile Radio (LMR) Technician II you will help ensure today is safe and tomorrow is smarter. Our work depends on Land Mobile Radio (LMR) Technician II joining our team to perform installation, maintenance, and repair of telecommunications systems.

HOW A LAND MOBILE RADIO (LMR) TECHNICIAN II WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

Performs installation, maintenance and repair of telecommunications systems.

Will verify services by testing circuits/equipment/alarms & identifying, correcting, or escalating problems.

Leverage LMR shop operations & management experience from a large-scale LMR shop.

Will respond to emergency calls in the event of a system failure.

Will install, remove, maintain, modify, troubleshoot, & repair telecommunication equipment, to include running/pulling, terminating, and splicing cables; installing routers, switches, multiplexors, cable trays.

Apply hands-on experience in maintenance/troubleshooting of Motorola & other LMR Equipment

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

Education: High School Diploma/GED

Required Experience: 1+ years of related experience

Required Technical Skills: Must be qualified to install LMR base stations, repeaters and mobile radios.

Security Clearance Level: SECRET

Required Skills and Abilities:

Communications consoles

Repeaters

XTS-5000 and other hand-held radios

Trunked and non-trunked LMR systems

Key loaders, antennas, multi-couplers, duplexers

Test equipment (service monitors/ system analyzers, oscilloscopes, multimeters, frequency counters, power meters, spectrum analyzer

Digital recording equipment

OTAR keying equipment (Key management facility)

Site controllers

The likely hourly rate for this position is between $29.75 - $40.25. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.Total compensation for international positions varies by tax, social security, and immigration statuses, as well as location. Generally, an international assignment may include allowances, premium uplifts, and/or relocation or transportation benefits, above base salary range noted.
