Summary
The WXAV Program Director develops and implements station programming, included but not limited to music formatting, show scheduling, and public affairs programs. Supervises on-air staff, monitors station output for consistency and quality of product, and offers feedback. Enforces FCC and WXAV rules and regulations and assists the General Manager in all FCC logging requirements.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
The Program Director organizes the on-air broadcast schedule for all WXAV employees and with the General Manager helps decides the overall strategy of the radio station. The Program Director leads and manages all aspects of the radio station with the full backing of the General Manager. The Program Director is also in charge of planning, managing, and executing promotional events, along with the rest of the management team. The Program Director supervises the training of all new WXAV producers so that they will meet WXAV broadcast standards. The Program Director assists the General Manager maintaining the on-air image of WXAV 88.3FM. This is done through the writing, recording, and producing of original on-air sweepers for WXAV that promote the station at large, individual dj show promos, and the recording of Public Service Announcements. Finally, the Program Director is a member of the Student Media Leadership Committee.
