Position: Audio Producer
Department: Media Solutions Group
Reporting to: Audio Production Manager
Location: Topeka, KS - onsite
Overview:
We're looking for a dynamic, experienced Audio Producer who will help craft the sound of our weekly radio shows and podcasts for our financial advisors.
We want someone who knows how to create compelling audio and put out strong work on tight deadlines. They have sound editorial judgment, take pride in their work, and have a high attention to detail. They have a problem-solving attitude and an excitement for innovation. The ideal candidate has a background in audio production and/or daily show production.

What you'll do:
  • Records, edits and produces long-form "infotainment" radio shows and podcasts, complete with music and production effects
  • Delivers the final long-form radio show product to the appropriate radio stations on or before deadline
  • Works collaboratively with the host and advisors on all aspects of production
  • Assembles radio equipment for advisors and assists advisors through the radio onboarding phase
  • Works with various software programs as well as internal and external staff and/or advisors and their staff, to setup remote studios, assist with show recordings and other similar duties
  • Helps edit and produce short-form commercial programming as needed
  • Edits and produces video podcast content, including syncing audio and video, incorporating graphics and branding elements, and preparing final content for digital distribution platforms
  • Collaborates with internal partners to support video podcast production, quality assurance, and publishing finalized content to YouTube
  • Exercises autonomy to make basic decisions to handle non-routine concerns
  • Identifies ways to improve workflow, turnaround times for various projects, and the team's productivity

Experience you'll bring:
  • 1-2+ years of experience in audio production, podcasting, radio, or a related field
  • Hands-on experience recording, editing, and producing audio content
  • Working knowledge of audio equipment, microphones, mixers, and recording setups
  • Experience editing video podcasts and preparing content for digital platforms using video production best practices
  • Experience meeting deadlines in a fast-paced production environment
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with hosts, advisors, and cross-functional partners
  • Ability to take initiative and ownership of projects and workload
  • Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and manage non-routine production challenges
  • Work independently and as a positive and supportive member of a team
