Job description

A Jiffy Lube Multicare Service Technician performs thorough visual inspections so that the findings can be reviewed with the customers by the Service Advisorโ€™s.

Other tasks performed include checking & filling vital fluids, removing & installing filters, properly inflating the tires & completing the oil change service, performing tire rotations & other preventive maintenance services.

Examples of the items included in the inspection process include but are not limited toย 

  • Exterior Lighting

  • Headlight Housing Condition

  • Wiper Blades

  • Tire Tread Depth

  • Engine Drive Belt

  • Engine Air Filter

  • Brake Fluid Levelย ย 

  • Brake Fluid Condition (Test for moisture)

  • Battery Testing

  • Radiator Condition

  • Radiator Hoses

  • Under Hood Leaks

  • Any Unusual Conditionsย 

As a service technician you will also be trained in additional technician positions & how to perform other preventative maintenance services including but not limited toย 

  • Automatic Transmission Fluid Replacement

  • Engine Coolant Replacement

  • Gearbox Fluid Replacement

  • Fuel System Cleanings

All technicians are responsible for keeping a clean & organized work area & to work with others to keep a clean service center.ย 

All technicians participate with receiving & checking in orders, stocking products, & performing inventory counts.

Requirements

  • Be able to work in a fast-paced environment & multi-task

  • Must learn how to operate fluid exchange equipment for servicing transmissions, coolant systems, & brake systems & other specialized equipment & hand tools

  • Must have a positive attitude, a strong work ethic, & be a team player

  • Must be able to lift & move work-related items up to 50 pounds

  • Must be able to push, pull, lift, & bend at the knees & waist

  • Have a valid drivers license & be authorized to work in the U.S.
