Job description

We are currently looking for a Senior Radiation Test Engineer to support our customers within the Strategic Microelectronics Division at Naval Surface Warfare Center โ€“ Crane.

Position Responsibilities
  • Support engineering decisions based on radiation effects on overall system performance.
  • Design and harden systems across multiple radiation effects, including dose rate, total ionizing dose (TID), neutron displacement damage (NDD), and single event effects (SEE).
  • Work with interdisciplinary teams to ensure radiation hardening is maintained across the product lifeโ€‘cycle.
  • Assist in test plan development and review.
  • Participate in Radiation Review Boards and help generate templates and guides.
  • Assist in developing training materials and tools for new hires.
  • Assist with testing efforts, test station setup and validation, and verification efforts.
  • Collaborate on program requirements and provide feedback on approach to meet requirements.
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, or other relevant field.
  • 10+ years of Radiation Engineering or related experience.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Government Clearance (U.S. Citizenship required).
Preferred Requirements
  • Masterโ€™s degree or PhD in Physics, Electrical Engineering, or Nuclear Engineering.
  • 10+ years of radiation engineering experience with the Department of Defense.
  • Current Secret or Topโ€‘Secret DoD security clearance.
Compensation Details

$120kโ€“$180k annually. The compensation range listed is a goodโ€‘faith estimate; actual compensation may vary based on factors such as job responsibilities, education, experience, skills, internal equity, market data, applicable collective bargaining agreements, and relevant laws.
