Overview

Join a team supportingnext-generation expeditionary radar (ExR) capabilities for the U.S. Navy. This senior technical role focuses on systems engineering, radar performance, signal processing, and integration throughout the system lifecycle.

Travel

Travel to Moorestown NJ and Wallops Island for a period of 3-5 days to support testing. Some local travel to the Navy Yard or Quantico VA. Likely maximum of 5 trips a year.

Clearance

An ACTIVE Secret Clearance is required for this position. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. US Citizenship is required to obtain a clearance.

Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience
  • Experience supporting the full systems engineering lifecycle, including requirements development, system architecture, requirements decomposition, verification, validation, and system integration.
  • Strong understanding of radar systems, sensor technologies, or defense combat systems. Experience evaluating radar performance and supporting system capability development is highly desired.
  • Experience supporting radar signal processing efforts such as waveform development, clutter management, electronic protection, electromagnetic compatibility, or software-based radar modeling.
  • Ability to develop or utilize modeling and simulation tools to evaluate system performance, support engineering analysis, and verify design requirements.
  • Experience developing test plans, supporting laboratory or field testing, analyzing test results, and documenting technical findings. MATLAB experience is highly preferred.
  • Experience applying MBSE principles, methodologies, and tools to support systems engineering activities is desired.
  • Ability to develop technical documentation, engineering reports, interface control documents, and present findings to government and engineering stakeholders.
Responsibilities
  • Lead systems engineering activities from requirements development through system integration and verification.
  • Develop and maintain system specifications, interface documentation, and engineering baselines.
  • Support modeling, simulation, and system performance analysis.
  • Participate in radar integration, testing, and technical reviews.
  • Contribute to radar signal processing efforts including waveform development, clutter management, electronic protection, electromagnetic compatibility, and software model development.
  • Support test planning, execution, and data analysis using MATLAB and laboratory test equipment.
Education

Minimum of a BS/BA in a STEM field from an accredited University or College (Specifically, A Bachelor’s degree from an a school of engineering with at least one curriculum accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) as a professional engineering curriculum in one of the following fields: Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineer, Electronics Engineering; or A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in one of the following fields of study: Mathematics, Computer Science, or Physics)

Compensation

Compensation at SimVentions is determined by a number of factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, education, training, security clearance, work location, skills, knowledge, and competencies, as well as alignment with our corporate compensation plan and contract specific requirements.

The projected annual compensation range for this position is $126,00 - $176,000 (USD). This estimate reflects the standard salary range for this position and is just one component of the total compensation package that SimVentions offers.
