Job description

At MatrixSpace, we are building technology that bridges the physical and digital worlds — combining embedded systems, radar sensing, cloud computing, and AI to unlock powerful real-world intelligence.

We are seeking a Radar and Product Field Test Intern to support our summer production and testing efforts. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working both outdoors and with cutting-edge hardware systems. You’ll play a key role in ensuring our radar and AI-enabled products are tested, verified, and ready for delivery.

In this role, you will support drone-driven production testing of radar systems and related products to help meet critical delivery commitments. Your contributions will also enable our field test team to focus on advancing software tools for next-generation products. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience with advanced radar and AI systems while working alongside a dynamic team in a rapidly growing industry. You’ll make a real impact on production and delivery while building valuable technical and field experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assemble, build, and configure modules and hardware for testing and development
  • Program modules and support basic configuration activities
  • Conduct measurements and testing of boards, modules, and systems
  • Support drone operations and coordinate flight activities for radar testing
  • Support field testing, range testing, and validation activities
  • Set up, execute, and tear down test scenarios according to defined procedures
  • Collect, analyze, and summarize test and flight data
  • Document test procedures, results, and findings
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to evaluate and improve system performance
  • Assistin prioritizing and executing test plans
  • This work is primarily (90%) outdoors in our testing field
Required Skills and Experience:

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship and may be required to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance in the future.

  • Completed at least 2 years toward aBS degree(Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field)
  • Working knowledge ofMicrosoft Officetools
  • Familiarity withWindows(Linux experience is a plus)
  • Ability to workoutdoors in summer conditions
  • Ability tolift and carry up to 35lbs
  • Strong initiative and eagerness to learn in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
  • Strong organizational skills
