Job description

Avionics Integration Engineer Location: Fort Worth, TX Job ID: #73123 Pay Range: $72-96 12 month contract Secret clearance Required Job Summary The Avionics Integration Engineer will be responsible for developing, managing, and communicating the integration & test requirements for military upgrade development programs to internal and external customers. Position Responsibilities: • Applies engineering principles to investigate, analyze, plan, design, develop, implement, test, and evaluate avionics systems integration. • Create system performance specifications, interface control documents, and test plans/procedures • Performs air vehicle and systems level analysis to verify performance requirements are met • Plans, supports, and manages integration projects to meet customer requirements. • Works closely with other functional disciplines to ensure compliance to all critical performance parameters. • Suggests design improvements / spiral opportunities to improve current integrated avionics and weapon system capabilities. • Provides technical guidance and oversight of subcontractors to verify performance, cost, and schedule requirements are met. • Works closely with the Business Development organization to propose technical solutions to support new business opportunities. Qualifications/Skills: Requires integration experience with one or more of the following systems: • Multi-function Displays, Digital Map, GPS, IFF, ADS-B, TCAS, ILS, Radar Altimeter, Air Data, MUOS, VHF/UHF radios, SATCOM, Datalinks • Prefer experience with AC and DC Aircraft Power System integration • Experience with qualifications to standards such as RTCA DO-160, MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-704, MIL-STD-1760, MIL-STD-883, MIL-STD-461, and MIL-STD-464 • Must have the ability to communicate efficiently and effectively to coordinate across multiple internal and external organizations. • Must be able to build and maintain effective relationships with customers, internal and external suppliers, as well as horizontal integrations across the other teams. • PC proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook is required. • Must have the ability to work effectively within a team. • Good interpersonal and organizational skills are required. • Must be able to obtain a Security Clearance Education Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering preferred; Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) discipline required US Person Benefits provided: 401K, medical, dental, and vision, sick time as applicable to state law Butler America Aerospace, LLC. is an equal opportunity employer.
