JOB TITLE: Critical Facilities Technician (CFT) Level I (Nights)

REPORTS TO: Lead Critical Facilities Technician

As we continue to expand our operations, we're searching for a skilled CFTIN to join our team.

YOUR ROLE:

Critical Facilities Technician 1 Night (CFT1N) is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the data center to ensure maximum efficiency and uptime for our customers. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, reliability, and continuous improvement within the data center environment. The CFT1N will work as part of a team to maintain critical infrastructure, troubleshoot issues, and support the overall operational excellence of the facility.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on critical data center equipment.
Monitor building management systems (BMS) and respond to alarms.
Assist with basic electrical/mechanical troubleshooting and repairs.
Rack/stack IT equipment, run cables, and maintain clean work areas.
Respond to emergencies as directed.
Maintain accurate records and adhere to safety protocols.
Participate in safety training programs.
Escort vendor work during preventative maintenance and repairs.
Maintain compliance with customer training, security and contractual requirements
Operate specialized tools and equipment.
Able to respond in the appropriate time to calls or service requests in order cure any problems during night shift.

QUALIFICATIONS:

2-3+ years of experience in a data center environment, critical facility or related field.
Basic understanding of electrical and mechanical systems.
Knowledge of data center infrastructure and best practices.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Work in both indoor and outdoor environments with exposure to loud noise levels.
Required to work nights, and/or weekends as a regular part of the job.
