Responsibilities:
  • Safety is our number one priority. Follow safe work practices and company and client work site policies.
  • Assist the project team with installation activities including OSP, ISP, rack, stack, patch, pathways, labeling, troubleshooting, and testing.
  • Ability to use basic hand and power tools to perform assigned job site tasks.
  • Proactively maintain job site organization and basic housekeeping. Organize materials, tools, and equipment, collect debris, and ensure hazardous conditions are promptly addressed.
  • Learn to read and interpret blueprints, floor plans, drawings, specifications, and cut sheets.
  • Learn about the different materials and methodologies involved with the installation of a structured cabling system- Cat5, Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6e, Cat7 and Fiber Optics
  • Maintain a satisfactory compliance with customer security requirements.

Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or commensurate experience
  • Must be able to pass drug and background screens.
  • Dependable vehicle for transportation to and from work

The job requires working in all elements, depending on job location, time of year, heat, cold, and rain. Wear personal protective equipment (hard hat, safety glasses always), respirator when required. Able to work 8 -10 hours per day, 40 hours per week, and overtime as required and night shifts. Includes crawling, standing, stooping, bending, crouching, kneeling, sitting, reaching, able to routinely lift heavy objects more than 50 pounds and pushing and pulling of objects is required. Repetitive use of arms, hands and fingers. Physical work is a primary part (more than 70%) of the job.
