Job Title: DC Technician
Location: Chandler, AZ
Duration: 24-month contract

  • DC Technician with over 8 years of experience supporting enterprise data center operations.
  • Proven expertise in hardware break/fix, server provisioning and decommissioning, and on-site technical support for high-availability infrastructure.
  • Adept at troubleshooting complex hardware, network connectivity, and system access issues while maintaining accurate asset, change, and incident documentation.
  • Demonstrates strong knowledge of best practices in rack-and-stack standards, structured cabling, and vendor coordination, contributing to compliance, uptime, and service continuity.


Data Center Skills:

  • Additional Expertise: POS hardware support, tape backup systems, IMAC (Install, Move, Add, Change) procedures
  • Perform advanced network cabling troubleshooting, installation, and decommissioning (IMACD) in enterprise data center environments
  • Install, terminate, and test OM4 fiber (single-mode & multi-mode) and Cat 5e copper cabling
  • Support Service and Network hardware installation and decommissioning, including server setup and teardown
  • Configured and utilized SFP and QSFP transceivers for network connectivity verification
  • Performed remote and local server management using iLO and iDRAC interfaces
  • Executed data center setup activities in accordance with change management, compliance, and uptime requirements
  • Diagnosed and repaired hardware failures affecting critical infrastructure supporting financial systems
  • Performed fiber optic and copper cabling maintenance, including cleaning fiber connections, verifying optical signal from servers and network cards, and inspecting Cat 5/Cat 6 cabling; coordinated cable replacement with cabling teams when necessary
  • Executed rack-and-stack operations for servers, including structured cabling and proper equipment placement
  • Tracked, managed, and maintained inventory of server components, tools, and peripherals
  • Created, updated, and resolved incidents using proprietary ticketing systems
  • Collaborated with cross-functional teams to maintain system uptime and minimize service disruptions.
