JOB SUMMARY

The EVS Supervisor is responsible for maintaining the integrity of the facility including all aspects of the Environmental Services (EVS) team to ensure that the company brand standards is met.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Ensure efficient use of departmental resources.
  • Assists with the hiring, training, development, and efficient management of the staff.
  • Reviews activities in EVS to gauge and improve staffing levels, working conditions and other matters which influence quality guest service and profitability.
  • Interpret company policies to Team Members and enforce safety regulations.
  • Evaluates and coaches Team Members in regards to performance and professional development.
  • Communicate with other department supervisors to coordinate activities for cleaning and event support.
  • Directs and ensures the cleanliness and sanitation in both the Front of House and Back of House areas
  • Inspect the environment within the organization to ensure it meets the minimum best practice throughout the organization. 
  • Ensures operation is OSHA and Hazcom compliant, including maintenance of departmental MSD Sheets.
  • Reviews guest complaints/concerns and takes appropriate action.
  • Plans and conducts team member meetings. Attends other related meetings to obtain and disseminate pertinent information.
  • Ensures all machinery is operated in accordance with manufacturers operating instructions and properly cleaned at the end of the day/shift and is serviced periodically
  • Delivers internal and external guest service
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment and interact with internal departments.
  • Must be able to work a varied schedule which includes days, nights and weekends.
  • Must be familiar with and able to use most commercial cleaning equipment.
  • Ability to think critically over departmental issues and offer cost-effective solutions.
  • Maintaining a professional working relationship among personnel.
  • Oral and written communication skills.
  • Lift up to 30lbs.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-3 years related experience as a Supervisor, preferably in the entertainment or hospitality industry and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to work as part of team and help build and maintain a strong team environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Obtain a KY Racing license.
