Job description

Athens Regional Veterinary Services is currently seeking Veterinary Technicians to join our team. We have immediate openings for both full-time and part-time positions. Recent graduates and individuals without a degree are encouraged to apply – all applicants will be considered.

Athens Regional Veterinary Services is a leading small and large animal veterinary clinic serving the Athens area. We provide comprehensive care for a wide variety of animals, including dogs, cats, horses, cows, goats, rabbits, and more. Our services range from routine wellness care to emergency treatments, ensuring the health and well-being of our patients.

Responsibilities:

As a Veterinary Technician at Athens Regional Veterinary Services, you will be responsible for a diverse range of tasks, including but not limited to:

  • Monitoring anesthesia during surgical procedures.
  • Assisting veterinarians during surgeries and other medical procedures.
  • Administering fluids and medications to hospitalized patients.
  • Monitoring and caring for hospitalized cases.
  • Performing nail trims and other routine procedures.
  • Obtaining vitals on animals as they arrive at the clinic.
  • Assisting with diagnostic imaging (x-rays and ultrasound).
  • Assisting with in-house appointments and on-farm calls.
  • Other duties as assigned by the veterinary team.

  • Experience in veterinary medicine
  • Strong passion for animal care and welfare.
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and procedures.
